Marco rock is a 100% natural calcium carbonate limestone-structured aragonite dry rock that is used in marine fish and reef aquarium systems. It is harvested on land in a Florida rock quarry, causing no damage to natural coral reefs. It is safe for all marine fish and reef aquarium systems and does not introduce undesirable hitchhikers like algae and aiptasia. It also does not leach undesirable contaminants or affect the aquarium nitrogen cycle. It is less expensive and more environmentally friendly than live rock.
